IPPC 2025 Set to Honor Two Decades of Progress Within a Critical Global Plasma Supply Chain

February 17, 2025

The Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association (PPTA) is pleased to announce that the 20th International Plasma Protein Congress (IPPC) will take place 20-21 May 2025 in Warsaw, Poland. This 20th anniversary event features programming and experts selected around a central theme: a central theme that explores the critical and global supply chain.

Attendees will explore the vital role that plasma-derived medicinal products (PDMPs) play in global health, including how the industry has progressed over 20 years to ensure safety and quality of lifesaving treatments for all patients. Discussions will highlight the importance of resilient supply chains for uninterrupted patient access to PDMPs in an increasingly complex world, evolving technology in plasma collection and manufacturing, donor health, and global perspectives on regulatory alignment, advocacy, and outreach.

“The 20th anniversary of IPPC is not just about celebrating how far we’ve come – it's about looking ahead," said Marilena Vrana, Senior Director & Lead for Public Affairs, Europe at PPTA. “For two decades, the IPPC has brought together people who are dedicated to improving patients’ lives and committed to high standards of safety and quality. Warsaw provides the perfect setting for us to share new ideas, forge stronger connections, and continue the progress that defines our industry.”

“IPPC’s 20th anniversary is both a milestone and a launching point,” said Anita Brikman, President & CEO of PPTA. “This industry has demonstrated extraordinary adaptability and innovation over the years, and as we celebrate our progress, we must also embrace the opportunities ahead. The challenges we face today will define the next era of plasma therapies, and IPPC will continue to be at the center of those vital discussions.”

Confirmed speakers include prominent voices from industry, patient organizations, policy and regulatory bodies. The full agenda and additional speaker announcements will be released in the coming weeks. IPPC is open to professionals and advocates across the plasma community, including plasma collectors, manufacturers, policymakers, patients, clinicians, researchers, and other key stakeholders.
